The technical specifications of castor oil are attached as per annexure I. Apart from this the company can also offer any other grade with specifications as per buyers’s requirement.

The
castor cake is obtained during the crushing of castor seeds, which contains 9% castor oil. This by-product of castor oil is called de-oiled cake. The oil cake is further transferred to solvent extraction plant for extraction of the oil from the cake. This de-oiled cake is a best natural fertilizer, which contains 5% of nitrogen, 2% of potash and 1% of calcium. The protein content of castor seed meal varies from 21-48% depending upon the extent of decortications. It has an ideal amino acid profile with moderately high Cystine, mithionine, and isoleucine.
This natural fertilizer being an environment friendly product is used all over the world. France uses this fertilizer for grape plantations done to produce wine. Other countries importing de-oiled cake are Germany, Switzerland and Taiwan.

It is also used as fuel in boilers as it has high calorific value than other fuels like lignite and coal and is also economical. The by-product castor cake has also increasing potentiality of export due to high content of protein. Using advanced technology, the toxic substances are removed from the cake and it is now also used as animal feed.

De-oiled cake as a natural fertilizer is exported in two forms (i) pallet form & (ii) in powder form. Yearly around 65,000 mt of de-oiled cake is exported from India. Hindustan lever ltd and jayant oil mills are the major exporters of de-oiled cake in India.
